Claude Code plugins

A plugin bundles skills, agents, hooks, MCP servers or LSP servers behind one install — not commands, which Anthropic merged into skills: a file at .claude/commands/deploy.md and a skill at .claude/skills/deploy/SKILL.md both create /deploy, so a plugin shipping either is shipping a skill. Every .claude-plugin/plugin.json we can find is read, checked for a valid and versioned manifest, and scored together with the repository behind it — because a plugin whose source has not been touched in two years is a liability rather than a shortcut. Install signals come from the skills.sh registry where they exist and from repository stars where they do not.
